Roxbury Prep Dorchester Campus is located in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. The school was built on the successes of the Mission Hill and Lucy Stone campuses, reaching even more Boston families. Students from Roxbury Prep’s middle schools (5-8) have the opportunity to attend Roxbury Prep High School for grades 9 to 12.

Roxbury Prep prepares students for college and beyond. We achieve this with three high-quality, rigorous, aligned middle school campuses that serve students in grades 5 through 8.
We use our talents to make positive contributions to our communities. Through weekly Community Meeting, after school clubs, and local partnerships, Roxbury Prep students enrich their own school community, contribute to the neighborhoods of Roxbury and Dorchester, and benefit from the support of Boston community organizations and philanthropic supporters.
With mandatory uniforms, a structured learning environment, and a school supported by an Advisory curriculum, Roxbury Prep ensures that students develop the academic, social, and moral skills required for success in college and in life.
Without good teachers, nothing else matters. Teachers are provided extensive support and coaching in curriculum development, instruction, and assessment, delivering engaging daily lesson and thoughtful, strategic unit plans.

Ms. Emma Simmons graduated with her undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and has her master’s in education from Relay Graduate School of Education. She has over a decade of experience at Uncommon Schools and has been a school leader at every Roxbury Prep campus, from Mission Hill, to Lucy Stone, to our Hyde Park High School campus. Ms. Simmons is constantly inspired by her students and is excited for RPDC students to thrive academically. Outside of school, Ms. Simmons enjoys spending time with her twin boys, reading, and doing yoga.
Mr. Michael Vallejo earned is B.A. in Anthropology from Union College in Schenectady, NY. Mr. Vallejo is a native of Dorchester, and is driven by Roxbury Prep’s mission, supporting MS age students in developing the academic habits and skills so that they can be successful and prepared for HS, college, and beyond! In his free time, Mr. Vallejo enjoys going to the gym, taking walks with his Dog (Ace), and adventuring around Boston, trying new restaurants.
