Info for Families

Roxbury Prep believes in strong collaboration between teachers, students, families, and school leaders.

Partnering with families is vital to ensuring the success of our students and schools. We recognize that we cannot fulfill our mission of preparing students to enter, succeed in, and graduate from college without the support of our families. Family events are held at each campus at least once every two months. Flyers and messages for these events are sent home inviting families to the upcoming meetings or events, and food/child care are always provided.

In addition to campus events, Roxbury Prep is committed to maintaining frequent communication with our families by offering the following:

  • Back-to-school nights

  • Family potluck dinners

  • Campus newsletters/postcards

  • Teacher-family/Advisor-family phone calls

  • Monthly progress reports and end-of-quarter report cards

  • Conferences with students, families, and teachers

  • Community meeting

  • Sports banquets

  • Summer placement resources

  • Other Saturday and evening programs for students and families

Online Academic Programs
I-Ready, Khan Academy, and Reflex are online academic programs that offer students practice in several subject areas.  Your child often uses these programs in school, and they have logins  to access them at home!

Family Council Engagement

During the 2016-2017 school year, a few Roxbury Prep families have met to discuss and create a vision for the Roxbury Prep Family Council. Currently we have one Roxbury Prep netwrok family council, but we are looking to establish campus-specific family councils for the 2017-2018 year. If you would like to be involved, or want to learn more about this process, please fill out this short questionnaire.

We would love to hear from you!
