Support From Our Community
Former City Councilor Frank Baker
"I believe Roxbury Prep’s investment and vision will add to the positive momentum we have worked so hard to build and I am excited to welcome a new organization to our neighborhood."
State Senator Liz Miranda
"This significant new investment into the Newmarket community also offers a very timely indication of confidence in the neighborhood’s bright future. I believe that the design of the facility will enhance the streetscape, compliment Clifford Park and surrounding City of Boston investments. A stable, institutional presence of this caliber will set an appropriately high standard and induce further investment in Newmarket while strengthening the existing student resources in the neighborhood."
State Representative Chynah Tyler
"Roxbury Prep has long-standing proven results educating Boston’s young residents, preparing them for successful college careers and beyond. I am living proof as a proud Roxbury Prep Alumna! For a school that serves a student body that is 98% students of color and 75% economically disadvantaged, having one, permanent high school building will provide the stability and modern school facility they deserve."
Stephanie Monteiro Merritt
"As Interim President and CEO of The BASE, and future neighbor across Clifford Park, I am confident Roxbury Prep’s investment and vision will add to the community-building efforts we have made over the years, and I am excited to welcome a new organization to our neighborhood."
