Dwayne Robinson

Roxbury Prep High School Athletics Director

Dwayne Robinson Dwayne Robinson is a 15-year veteran of Roxbury Prep and truly embodies the spirit that drives our mission forward. Since he started his career at Roxbury Prep’s Mission Hill Campus in 2004, Dwayne has dedicated himself to serving our community and to improving the lives of our scholars. It was only fitting that he received the first-annual Ray Cruz Award this year for “demonstrating commitment to our mission in work and in life and serving with a pure heart.”

Dwayne spent 11 years at Mission Hill, where he ran the P. E. department and developed the athletic program. He coached soccer, basketball, baseball, and was the Dean of Students for two of those years. Four years ago he moved to Roxbury Prep High School, where he built the high school’s athletic program from the ground up. Our teams are now able to compete against public school teams, and in 2018 the high school football team made the playoffs.

Dwayne Robinson coaching basketball Dwayne’s leadership in athletics has instilled strong values that have improved our scholars’ lives in many ways. These values not only appear on the court and field but also, more importantly, in the classroom, where our scholars are closing the achievement gap. Dwayne is excited to begin his 16th year with Roxbury Prep, and his continued leadership is a gift to our staff and students. We are proud to highlight Dwayne Robinson in our first 20th Anniversary Spotlight!
